Using My Opinions and Rewards Central to Max Your Payout

Today I want to discuss one of the strategies that I use to make the most out of doing paid surveys. And that is utilising the relationship between My Opinions and Rewards Central.

Firstly My Opinons is one of the better online survey sites in Australia. Unlike most survey panels there are actually three ways to make money at My Opinions:

1) Doing Paid Surveys
You get fairly regular surveys to do and they generally fairly short and pay out at a reasonable level of points per survey.
2) Play the Instant Win Game
Free to enter once per week - click a square and win between 0 and 500 points
3) Refer Your Friends
If you tell your friends about My Opinions you can earn 200 points per registered person.

Secondly Rewards Central is probably Australias leading online rewards program web site. There are 8 ways to make money from Rewards Central

1) Doing Paid Surveys
You dont get many surveys, but when you do they are usually pretty good.
2) View Emails
Rewards Central send out a daily advertising email and if you click on the ad to view it you get 10 points (or 2 entries into their Win $10,000 competition)
3) Daily Ad ClicksRewards Central will let view and click on ads once per day - you get 2 points (yay)
4) Play the Free Guessing Game
Pick some numbers and if you are lucky you win up to 4000 points
5) Respond to Offers
If you take up advertiser offers you get reward points
6) Shopping Rewards
Purchase from selected reward partner retail web sites - shop and get reward points
7) Refer Your Friends
If you tell your friends about RewardsCnntral you can earn 200 points per registered person.
8) eBank
If you deposit your reward points into the Rewards Central eBank you earn interest on the points balance.

With all that info covered, here is the little strategy for maximising your return from these two web sites. My Opinions allows you to transfer the points that you make on that site into a Rewards Central Account. This means that not only can you accumulate enough points to make a withdrawal faster but you can also take advantage of the interest you can earn in the RewardsCentral eBank with all your earned points.

I set up my My Opinions account to automatically transfer my points when the total gets to 100. The I move the points in Rewards Central into a short term deposit in the eBank. When I have a larger amount I will deposit the points for a longer term to get a better interest rate.

Another point to remember is that the processing fee for withdrawing money at Rewards Central get smaller when you transfer larger amounts into your bank account. At the time of writing its 3300 points for $30 & 10,100 for $100.

Recapping:
  1. Set up an account with My Opinions
  2. Set up an account (using the same email address) at Rewards Central
  3. Use the points transfer to automatically send points from My Opinions to Rewards Central
  4. Transfer all points tothe Rewards Central eBank
  5. Withdrw the money when you get to 10,100 or $100
Of course you could also save the points to bid in Auctions on the Rewards Central web site.

Why is Valued Opinions one of my favourite survey panels

Perhaps because it is simple.

You sign up, fill in the profile section, and they send you surveys that are easy to complete, and pay quite well. You can set your account up to get your prefered type of gift voucherwhen you reach the threshold, and it arrives in the mail. I love getting David Jones gift vouchers, it make my wife sooooooo happy.

If you havent tried Valued Opinions yet, the you should. You can read how I rate them here.

Qualified Opinions becomes Live Tribe

Qualified Opinions has changed its name to Live Tribe and added this character........................
What else is new? looks like they are moving to a generate points, and claim rewards type of arrangement.
At the moment you do surveys for the chance to win $50 instantly, and go into a monthly prize draw, and you get a 10 line lottery ticket each time you fill in a survey.
As I have said before, I am not a fan of prize draws, I want money or gift vouchers as my reward. But that would probably change if I won the $50,000 on offer.....
Cant hurt to check it out, Live Tribe

My Opinions lots of surveys Cash transfer to Rewards Central

I have just finished doing a number of surveys with My Opinions. The whole experience left me with a positive feeling towards them today, I like getting something (anything) if you get screened out, even it is only 20 points.

The surveys that I completed were worth around $1.50 and $2 each and took less than 5 minutes to complete.

Perhaps the biggest reaon I am happy with them is I now have enough points to transfer to Rewards Central and get a cheque in the mail :)

Is My Opinions a Scam

The Internet is the new frontier of the scammer - individual and organisations alike. Beware Dear Reader - they are everywhere and anywhere.

Some things start out with best intentions, some start out with the deliberate intention of scamming you and anybody else they can get into.

And some times allegations get thrown around for no real reason at all.....If you read some of the blogs around you find some negative feedback about just about everything and anything.

Which brings me to my point, I was reading recently about how My Opinions was just another internet scam. This seemed quite strange, especially since I was just about to get my $60 payment from them thru paypal.

For the record, in Australia, at least, I get about 3 or 4 surveys do to from My Opinions each week, they are usually worth between 150 and 500 points (which roughly equates to $1.50 to $5) the surveys are generally pretty easy and quick to complete.

So where does the bad feedback come from?

Maybe they thought they were going to make a fortune filling in surveys?
Maybe they got screened because they put in stupid answers in the surveys?
Maybe they were trying to scam the survey panel?

I really dont know.

I guess the lesson in this might be:

a) dont have too high an expectation of making money with doing online surveys....seriously its pocket money, an extra part time (tax free) income at best.

b) sometimes the scammers arent the company but the people who try to rip the company off....

Of course dont stop being suspicious and sceptical of anything you see or read on the Internet or anywhere else for that matter.

Lots of Surveys coming from Valued Opinions Global Test Market

There are quite a few surveys coming from Valued Opinions and Global Test Market at the moment. I have just traded my accumulated cash for a $20 Coles Voucher and should have another one to collect shortly. I should be getting a payment from Global Test Market for around $50 sometime in January.

New Survey Program Review Your Opinions

I have just joined a new online survey program called Your Opinions

I will post a more thorough review of it after I have had some surveys and made some money (hopefully:)

My observations so far,
It generally looks ok. The layout is not complicated and it is very easy to join.
I quite like the low payout level set at only $20 through paypal.

If anyone has any feedback on this program, please feel free to let me know about it.
